Changing an average of 175 diapers and making 80 bottles of milk each week is not an easy task. But this is just the beginning of the list of obligations of a young mother from England who gave birth to four babies in a period of nine months!
Sarah Ward, 29, in Britain, gave birth to four children in the space of nine months after falling pregnant with triplets just weeks after she gave birth to her first child. Her son Freddie was only nine months old when she and her partner, Benn Smith, were shocked to discover they had triplets on the way. They later welcomed two boys – Stanley and Reggie and a girl, Daisy.
Their sʜᴏᴄᴋ when they learned that they were not expecting one, but three babies, is indescribable. However, both parents, who have long struggled to have a child, say they are happy – though exhausted – for their large family.
Sarah had been trying to ᴄᴏɴᴄᴇɪᴠᴇ for more than a year when she became pregnant with Freddie. So, since they were born in June last year, the couple was not worried about any problems. “We wanted to have at least two children. Because it took us so long time with Freddie, we expected it to take time for the next one,” Sarah said. However, Freddie was only eight weeks old when she learned she was pregnant again.
Describing life since being the mother of four little children, Sarah Ward said “At times it feels more like running a nursery than a home but we feel blessed. I was stunned when I found out I was pregnant again so soon. When we learned it was triplets, we went into shock.”
“At times it’s utter chaos but we just laugh and get stuck in. It takes two hours to prepare to leave the house but we don’t dwell on the hard work. I love babies so I feel like the luckiest mum in the world,” said the happy mother.
