A Mother, 29, Gives Birth In Her Car By The Side Of The Road

Pimpapha Kudthed, 29, pulled over when she felt an intense ᴘᴀɪɴ and realised her baby would not wait.

The mother recalled: “In fact, I saw red a week before the birth of the child, but because there was no labor ᴘᴀɪɴ, I thought that the due date was still more than half a month away, and I didn’t take it to heart.”

And this morning, after ten o’clock in the morning, the labor ᴘᴀɪɴs began. She realized that the child might be born, but at that time, everyone in the family was out. She was the only one at home with the child. She had no way to call her husband and then drive to the hospital by herself. But she didn’t expect the contractions to come so fast and so ᴘᴀɪɴꜰᴜʟ, so she could only park the car on the side of the highway and call for help. Her daughter was also nervous in the car and burst into tears.

When the doctors and nurses arrived at the scene, they found that the mother had given birth. The mother and the newborn baby were lying in the driver’s seat of the car. The mother’s ᴘʟᴀᴄᴇɴᴛᴀ had not yet peeled off, and the baby was still attached to the ᴜᴍʙɪʟɪᴄᴀʟ ᴄᴏʀᴅ. If the mother and child are not treated in a timely and proper manner, the mother may suffer from postpartum ʜᴇᴍᴏʀʀʜᴀɢᴇ, and the baby will be life-ᴛʜʀᴇᴀᴛᴇɴɪɴɢ.

After the initial assessment, the doctor immediately activated the emergency plan. While notifying the doctors in the obstetrics and neonatology department, he contacted the wheelchair and stretcher. The security guards maintained order on the scene, and the nurse especially comforted the eldest daughter, who was crying in the car.

In this special case, the doctor said, “Fortunately, we have emergency drills at normal times, so we can handle today’s emergencies so smoothly.” Because the incident happened suddenly, all the medical staff on the scene did not dare to hesitate, relying on their previous emergency experience to instinctively carry out various tasks, which ensured the safety of mother and child.

The day of childbirth is approaching, and family members are beginning to feel uneasy: What exactly is the signal that the baby is about to be born? How to judge whether it is about to give birth and how to deal with it?

Generally speaking, if a pregnant woman finds bloodshot secretions from her vagina when she goes to the toilet, it also means that she is about to give birth. “Seeing red” is a sure sign that labor is about to begin, usually a pink or brown viscous fluid, or just blood in the discharge. If it is light bloodshot, the amount is not much, you can stay at home to observe, be careful not to work too hard, and avoid strenuous exercise. Assuming that there is no pain in the stomach after seeing the redness, it means that the delivery will be in the next week.
