A Couple Had 2 Boys And Went For The Girl, But Ended Up With Quintuplets

A couple had two children but wanted a girl. However, they got a huge surprise when they found out that they were expecting quintuplets.

Megan and Joshua Hulen live in North Dakota, the United States, and when they were parents to Jacob and Matthew, ages 8 and 3, they decided to try to have a baby, hoping it would be a girl. However, they were surprised to find out that they would have quintuplets. Happy with the arrival of the little ones, they reveal how they spend their days.

Before conceiving, the woman had to undergo ᴛʀᴇᴀᴛᴍᴇɴᴛ because she has ᴘᴏʟʏᴄʏsᴛɪᴄ ᴏᴠᴀʀʏ sʏɴᴅʀᴏᴍᴇ. So they were in for a big surprise when they found out that she conceived the quintuplets through natural ovulation.

In an interview, the woman indicated that they wanted to have a daughter, and before starting the ᴛʀᴇᴀᴛᴍᴇɴᴛ, she began to feel strange. At that time, she ruled out her pregnancy since she had never ovulated on her own.

However, when the tests were carried out, she discovered that she was pregnant. And her impact was greater when they did an ultrasound and felt five heartbeats. Megan herself recalled that “the ultrasound technician was worried that she would hurt me because she was shaking.”

Faced with emotional shock, the woman recognized that she needed time to process the information and that is why they went to Joshua’s office, where “I cried for an hour.” Although she would have learned to remain calm with her previous pregnancies, she now maintained that she could not control herself.

“I couldn’t control anything,” stressed the mother, who explained that when giving birth, “all the babies were born four minutes apart.” In addition, she indicated that after three days she had already been discharged and she had made a quick recovery.

None of the babies suffered any ᴄᴏᴍᴘʟɪᴄᴀᴛɪᴏɴs, but for three weeks they remained under observation and then went home. So “the doctors were just as surprised as we were,” she said.

Adjusting to their new life, the couple acknowledged that while it’s chaotic, “we’re very happy to have everyone under the same roof.” In fact, they detailed that in the first few days they remained awake for almost 24 hours.

Premature babies take a little longer to feed, so by the time you’re done burping and feeding the fifth, you have about half an hour before you have to start feeding and burping the first again,” she said.
